Big Youtube Channel Announcement! (Future Video Plans)
Hello my loves! This post is going to be a little different than my regular blog posts. I am writing this as an announcement for what’s to come in the future and something I’ve been in the works of orchestrating. As most of you know, I recently stepped away from seeing clients behind the chair regularly to go full time on my blog and Youtube channel. (Read here to see why I quit doing hair.) And now that I’ve picked up some steam and gotten in the swing of things, I’m ready to take things a step further..
Thank you all for your support
First and foremost I want to thank you all for the abundance of support I’ve gotten from you. I went full time on Youtube in February 2024, and was able to become monetized by the end of that month. It takes an average of 2 years for that to happen regularly, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for how quickly I was able to see that success.
As of this morning (4/30/2024) my Youtube channel has hit 2,000 subscribers. My initial goal was to hit 1,000 by the end of the year!
And because of how blessed I feel from this, I am ready to take things to the next level. I am looking to give back some of the love that I have received from you all.
What you seem to prefer
As far as Youtube goes, you all seem to prefer the videos I make where I’m actually doing someones hair, whether it be my own or someone else’s. And I can totally understand that even though my other videos give some helpful tips, it’s just not quite as entertaining to watch my face talking to a camera as it is to watch me work!
So I plan on creating more content where I’ll be actively doing hair and teaching you all along the way. Now, that doesn’t mean that the tip videos will stop, they just might not be as frequent.
My BIG Youtube video plans!
My big plans for my Youtube channel are to not just actively do more hair, but to give to those in need. The plan is to rent out a single studio salon for a day at a time and do someones hair completely for FREE that is having a hard time, going through a lot, or struggling financially.
While I do their hair, not only will I educate you all on what I’m doing, but I’ll allow the client to tell their story if they wish and provide a GoFund me where you all can donate to help them out.
I will begin finding these clients/models in women’s shelters and Facebook groups, but eventually I will have an application on my website/Youtube channel where anyone can apply.
My goal is to lift this person up, make them feel beautiful, and share some of the abundance with them that you all have shared with me.
How to support me
Now, because these Youtube videos will cost me quite a bit more to make, I will also provide a link in the description of the videos where you can donate to support me in doing this. I not only will be paying to rent a studio for a day, but I’ll also be paying for all of the product and equipment that I use to make each of these Youtube videos.
I certainly am not “Youtube rich” yet by any means to really pay for all of this right now, but my hope is that you all will enjoy these videos and continue to support me, even if that means just watching my videos. Every “like” you send counts, and I am really just diving in and having faith in this venture. I’m following the direction that my heart is being pulled, and I truly feel that this is what I’m meant to be doing!
Conclusion
With all of the abundance and success I have received so far in my Youtube journey, I have decided to give back to those in need.
I will be making videos where I do someones hair for free that’s in need of some help/love. While I do their hair, I’ll educate you all as to what I’m doing. I’ll also allow them to tell their story and provide a GoFund Me where you can donate to them. You can also donate to support me in this journey.
I would love your feedback on this venture, so please leave me a comment with your thoughts! And make sure to subscribe to make everyday a good hair day! Once again, thank you so much for your support <3
